MX3
– Alex Salvini is only one point far from the red plate
Alex
Salvini (Italy, Husqvarna Tecno B) won the eleventh event for the FIM MX3
World Championship in Germany. Alvaro Lozano (Spain, Yamaha Ausio) was
second, Pierre Alexandre Renet (France, Suzuki Bodo Schmidt) was third.
There
was a sunny and hot maiden MX3 event in Schwedt. The organizer made a good
job and the sandy track was prepared for interesting battles. French rider
Pierre Alexandre Renet, riding for the German team Suzuki Bodo Schmidt was a
favourite before the event, as it was a home event for his team. He took the
holeshot in the first race. Italian Alex Salvini was riding behind him.
Renet was increasing his leadership in front of Salvini. But the
Championship leader Renet made a mistake in the middle of the race. After
the jump his bike stopped. Meanwhile Renet was trying to start the bike,
Salvini passed him. Renet continued second, before the third rider Matevz
Irt (Slovenia, Honda Team MB) came close to him.

Alex
Salvini (23) and Pierre Alexandre Renet (15)
This
was still not the final classification. When Salvini and Renet started their
battle for the first place, there was also exciting battle for the third
place bewteen Irt and Alvaro Lozano (Spain, Yamaha Ausio). Lozano was faster
and finished third, Irt was fourth and Finnish rider Antti Pyrhonen (Finnsco
Racing) was fifth.
Already
the first race was interesting, but second was even more. Alex Salvini and
Antti Pyrhonen were in front at the start. Pierre Alexandre Renet passed
Pyrhonen. Renet was riding only some centimetres behind Salvini. Although
Renet was pushing and wanted to come in front, Salvini did not leave his
leading position. Italian was the fastest and strongest rider in sandy and
difficult conditions. He won also in the second race. Pyrhonen was second,
Lozano third, Renet finished fourth and Kasper Jensen (Denmark, Honda) fifth.

MX3
start
Alex
Salvini was again on the top after two events, where he was not satisfied
with his results. This is another success for Husqvarna. Alvaro Lozano was
second and Pierre Alexandre Renet finished top three. Results in the
Championship Classification are very narrow and last four events will be
very interesting. Renet is still a holder of the red plate but only for one
point in front of Salvini, who took all the 50 points in Germany. Pyrhonen
is third with 63 points behind Salvini. Irt is second and he is 26 points
far from the first three. Julien Vanni (France, Honda Team MB) is fifth, he
is only three points behind Irt. Vanni came back after the wrist injury. In
the first race he had problems with the bike, he finished 17th overall. At
the moment Vanni is far from the fop, but there are coming two French
events.
The
next event for the FIM MX3 World Championship will be next weekend in
Lacapelle Marival, France.

RIDER'S
COMMENTS
1st
– ALEX SALVINI (ITALY): »Great weekend, two wins and of course I am very
happy. After two events when I was not really good because I made several
mistakes, now I am on the top again. The track was phisically very difficult
and straining. But I gave my best. I am satisfied with my team because they
help me a lot. Next race in France will be also difficult, it will be home
race Renet. I am only one point behind and I hope to take the leadership at
the next event.«
2nd
– ALVARO LOZANO (SPAIN): »Today was very hot and both races were
difficult. In the first race I started fast and I was second. After that
Alex Salvini passed me. In the second race I was tired. Ten minutes before
the end I could not push anymore to pass Pyrhonen and I finished third. This
was my first time here in Schwedt. The track was bumpy, difficult and
completely different as Spanish tracks. So I am glad to finish on the
podium.«
3rd
– PIERRE ALEXANDRE RENET (FRANCE): »I am not satisfied with the weekend.
Yesterday I was holding first time in the Qualifying Practice but Salvini
took the pole position in last seconds. Today we were also very close. In
the first race I made a mistake, my bike stopped and Salvini passed me. I
think I did not drink enough water before the second race. It was very hot
and I was tired so I finished fourth. I am still first in the Championship
Classification. I am leading for only one point. But I am looking forward
for the next event, it will be my home event and I hope I will keep the red
plate.«
